I was inspired by an old photograph of Walt Disney and his wife Lillian to create this piece. I was intrigued by the challenge the leis they were wearing would be to translate in the piece. I was even more inspired by the directional forces. !e "ower pedals, skin, and some accent points required small points made by a .005 marker. !e background and other dark areas were created with a .08 marker. I only used lines for a few areas such as the background because I wanted to add some variety. I felt that using points highlighted the areas with #ne details, especially the flowers. They also helped transition the lighted areas to the darker ones.
